No, not the President (though many wishes it was her)... But our ever snack-refuge and secret meeting place, Glo-Ri Supermart.. Hay. I saw the place last week. It's gone. Kapoosh. Vanished. Non-existing. No more. Nada. Actually, hindi pala, kasi nandun pa naman yung building pero closed na talaga. May steel bars na sa pinto. It was just like yesterday when I first set foot in that place. My first impression: "Wow, how glorificious!" (No, I just made that up). But I really loved standing at the doorway of Glo-Ri... the airconditioner on top of the door used to be so refreshing. Ohhlala. Upon entering you'll see the fishball/squidball/kikiam/mirinda/gulaman/buko juice stall, the mini-tiangge, cellphone kalikot stand, and the drugstore with glass panels.. Speaking of which, it's been years and I still don't know the name of that drugstore. Weird. Then we need to leave our things at the deposit area and get our numbers and pass the turnstile. To the left, you'll see lots of fruits. On the far right, imported chocolates. Our usual first stop then would be the Noodles Section. We would argue over the flavor of Pancit Canton... Or take time looking for Maggi Spaghetti.. or, when feeling generous, look for the spag pasta and sauce. Afterwhich, we used to split up and find kanya-kanyang contributions (fries, canned goods but not corned beef kasi si warren, munchies, bread and breadspread, juice). Tapos we'll leave thru the front door. There we'd see Rice-in-a-Box, the drugstore (once again all over the top for the second time around), Shawarma-han, balut stand, Mister Donuts stand, and an ice cream stand [some of these are still there], we'd hear the tricycles, we'd smell...pollution!, and we'd sense that it's time for another wonder-filled bonding session. cue background music: I'm coming up so you better get the party started (all five of us in a row doing the Bibo dance, special mention si BJ)...
Glo-Ri, may you rest in pieces (kasi one day they'll have to demolish your building) and be at the right hand of Macro or PriceMart up there at SuperHeaven. You'll always have a special place in our hearts..

Aus dba... ang lau na ng narating kung baga pang-marathon na to! ^^ But seriously who would thought that on the Fateful day of Feb 6 that 5 not so ordinary individuals got together for a project that would soon start occasional meeting and soon became frequent and without slightest idea became as to what we call today as *specials ^^. Actually, I don't have the slightest idea why we named ourselves specials(baka nakalimutan ko na) but ok lang. We shared thoughts, memories, mishaps, and fun.. but no matter how the conversation goes it still how we always meet that counts (gets?) For some time now we haven't seen each other. Baka nga one day magulat nalang kami na iba2 na pla ang mga mukha namen. But even if we don't see each other very often we still have tym to txt one another check out if everyone's is ok. Hmmm... kau nalang magdagdag sa iba i've done my share so bahala na kau sa rest.
